this track (the last one my very first album) is where the title/phrase “back where the pain is” originated. 

before i even knew it would be a trilogy, it was simply the title of a song about the very heartbreak that caused me to lock down emotionally for seven years.

i was speaking directly about/to two people. 

one was a brother of mine.

i unjustly held a grudge against him (and he, I) over that moment in time for seven years… 

forgiveness is a shortcut to peace.
